We tested the pump: it can draw water from a depth of 9 m, measured as the difference between the water level in the pump and the source water level. Priming from 9 m takes approximately 10 minutes. The pump may expel a slug of water at startup.
For self-priming garden pumps, pay attention to the following:
Fill the pump completely with water through the filling/vent opening,
all suction-side connections must be airtight to prevent air ingress,
a horizontal pipe section on the suction side may cause losses.
The stated performance applies to water at 20 °C and moderate ambient temperatures. Under extreme conditions, capacity may decrease or the thermal cut-out may trip.
