The machine is equipped with its own hydraulic system. The unit is deflected by propelling the soil, the built-in sophisticated mechanics can be controlled using hydraulics or via a cable from the tractor. When the probing stick detects the plant, i.e. the probing stick hits it, a working cylinder controlled by a hydraulic valve pulls the working head behind the tractor, and when the milling unit avoids the plant stem, the hydraulic system pushes it into the working position. The return speed is such that it protects trees and vines from sudden impact. The stick has adjustable sensitivity and can be used safely even on newly planted plantations. A separate control unit can be used to adjust the length of the retracting and extending work.
